  • MEOROS - Advanced Torah Learning for Women

    In-depth beis medrash-style analysis and study, with a deeper appreciation for the nuances of talmudic and medrashic text.  


    Women dissect and explore complex, multifaceted Torah concepts through dynamic debate and discussion that engages, challenges, and enthuses the mind.


    No previous learning background is needed, just a desire for high level study.


    Each session is ten classes.


    Days of Learning for Women provided free of charge.

  • ORA-LITE - Programming for High School Girls

    Engaging educational programming, events, and personal discussions that connect Jewish teenage girls – regardless of affiliation or level of religious observance – with the timeless treasure of Jewish knowledge in a fun, informative and engaging manner.  These connections enhance girls’ appreciation of themselves, their Jewish heritage, and significantly increase their own Jewish pride.


    Topics include: Why do I matter? / Why should what I do matter? / Why is there so much pain? / Handling Relationships / Does G-d Hear Me


    Students meet through monthly formal events and get-togethers, as well as personal one-on-ones with Ora-lite faculty and volunteers.

  • ORA BIG SISTERS - Peer-to-Peer Mentoring

    Ora students provide direction, encouragement and support of local elementary school children through discussion of age-appropriate topics relevant to success at school and home, and accompanied with relevant activities and crafts.


    Goal: Increase student achievement and well-being, which may be measured through students' emotional, behavioral and academic success.


    Students meet bi-weekly during the academic year.

  • ORA CHESSED - Community Service

    Giving back to the seniors and youth of our community - including weekly visits with the elderly and home-bound, Bnos youth groups, mothers helpers, tutoring, and much more.


    Minimum of forty hours of approved chessed each year is required for graduation 

  • ORA ALUMNAE - Maintaining the Ora Connection

    Ora continues to service its alumnae post-graduation, maintaining the special Ora connection begun during their high school years, through weekly video lessons, long-distance classes, quarterly get-togethers, individual counsel, dedicated website and special events
